About me

My Story

Hi everyone, my name is Mackenzie Lopp! I have my B.S in Public Health, and am currently a graduate student at the University of Minnesota for my Master's in Public Health (MPH) and Master's in Social Work (MSW). My ideal future work would be working in the maternal / child health or with sexual and reproductive rights. I love working with children, have a passion for helping animals and am very involved in my community.

I began my doula journey in July 2017. I wanted to become a doula, and use the certification as a resume builder, but left the training inspired, and wanting nothing more than to be a doula.

I am truly fascinated by childbirth, and love being able to support parents-to-be in such an exciting and nerve-racking part of their lives.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and I hope to be able to meet you (and your little one)!

My Philosophy

My philosophy is simple: help you accomplish the birth you wish to have.

As a doula, my main role (and goal!) is to help you be successful in your child's birth, whatever that may look like.

Birthing at home?

Birthing in a hospital?

Choosing natural birth?

Planned C-Section?

I will support you and assist you to make your birth empowering and something you are proud of.
